30 minutes a day can change your life.

If you read the title and thought “I don’t even have 30 minutes to spare!” then this post isn’t the place to start. You have to get your schedule together first. If you can’t dedicate 30 minutes to something that will change your life out of the 24 hours you have, then you have to address the issue of  time management. Usually when people say they don’t have time for something what they really mean is they spend most of their time busy, but not really getting anything done. That is no way to live your life. Well….I don’t want to live my life that way, but if you like it, I love it.

If you can’t find the time I recommend you download my free book. Don’t worry, Daily Dose of Courage: Time Management, takes about 5 minutes a day. It’s a short 5-day devotional to help you find the time you lost, then you will be able to dedicate 30 minutes to changing your life.

To the Courageous Life Changers

To you courageous life-changers ready to live the life you are destined for here we go. I know at first glance 30 minutes doesn’t seem like enough time to make a difference let alone change your life. We are talking about 182.5 hours in a year.  Imagine focusing on one activity, one subject, or one cause everyday for 30 minutes.

What could you do?

  • train for a 5k (10 weeks and you would still have 42 weeks left in the year).
  • scrub every inch of your house
  • read about 18 books (oh the knowledge you could acquire)
  • read the entire bible 4 times from cover to cover (oh the life changing wisdom you could acquire)
  • learn 9 completely new skills
  • learn a foreign language
  • start a business
  • write a blog 🙂

The list just goes on and on, the possibilities are only limited by your imagination.

The key to commitment is consistency. Are you committed? Are you consistent?

Those of us who value our time and want to make the best use of it use planners, schedules, or calendars to keep up with everything we need and want to do. Why not put the things you want to do on there also? Things you have been putting off because the task seems too daunting. If you just attacked the task for 30 minutes at a time everyday, eventually you would complete it.

Are you waiting on the life-changing part? Here it is.

Think about how you feel when you have accomplished something. No really, think about the last goal you accomplished and how you felt about it. If we are anything alike that feeling was amazing! If you went around feeling amazing more often instead of feeling defeated and overwhelmed would that not change your life?!

It’s more than a feeling though. It also means you have actually accomplished a goal. Why do we even set goals for ourselves? My guess?….to change our lives!

What life-changing goal will you accomplish in 2016 in just 30 minutes a day?

I’d love to hear how you plan to change your life! Please share your goals in the comments below.
